CellSpider ("the app") is a diagnostic tool that records which mobile network cell your own device is connected to. This policy explains exactly what the app reads, where it is kept, and who can see it.
Summary: the app does not transmit anything. All data stays on your device, and the developer never receives it.
This policy applies to the CellSpider Android application published by Intelkit Solutions ("we", "us").
The app monitors only the device it is installed on. It cannot locate, track, or read data from any other person's phone.
While a scan is running, the app reads the following from your device's own modem:
| Data | Example | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile Country Code (MCC) | 405 |
Identifies the network's country |
| Mobile Network Code (MNC) | 870 |
Identifies the operator |
| Tracking / Location Area Code (TAC/LAC) | 1234 |
Identifies the network area |
| Cell ID | 56789012 |
Identifies the individual cell |
| Network type | LTE, 5G |
The radio technology in use |
| Signal strength | -71 dBm |
Reception quality |
| SIM slot and carrier name | SIM 1 · Jio |
Distinguishes your SIMs on a dual-SIM device |
| Timestamps | first seen, last seen | Builds the session record |
The app requests the precise location permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION).
The app does not read your GPS position, and never records latitude or longitude.
Android requires this permission before it will return any cell identity information at all
(TelephonyManager.getAllCellInfo() returns nothing without it). The permission is therefore a
precondition imposed by the operating system, not an indication that the app is tracking your
geographic position. Android additionally requires system location to be switched on for the same
reason.
The app requests READ_PHONE_STATE solely to list the active SIM subscriptions, so that a dual-SIM
device can be scanned on both SIMs. It does not read your phone number, IMEI, IMSI, contacts, call
log, or messages.
Nowhere. Specifically:
The only time data leaves the app is when you choose Export and pick a destination yourself from the Android share sheet — for example, saving a CSV or XLSX file to your own Drive or sending it to your own email. What happens to that file afterwards is governed by whichever app or service you chose, not by us.
Sessions are kept on your device until you delete them. You can:
Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side, and no account to close.
The app is a technical diagnostic tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Since all processing happens locally on your device and no personal data is transmitted to or held by us, there is no data of yours in our possession to access, correct, export, or erase. You retain complete control through the in-app deletion options described in section 5.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
